The entire notion of TV and the way we consume it has changed so dramatically that the fact that TV 2 Lorry has managed to stay strong for 34 years is astounding. But now a change has come: Say farewell to Lorry and hello to Kosmopol!
TV 2 Kosmopol no longer focuses on one daily live production best served with your hot dinner at 5.30 PM. Kosmopol is still very much local, but now with a greater global outlook in order to shed light on the state of affairs in the metropolis of Copenhagen.
The new brand identity is a collaboration between the design team of TV 2 Kosmopol and their agency. It sets out to create a visual identity that could bring the media house safely from traditional flow TV to the broad-spectrum world of media platforms and app icons. The new name Kosmopol inspired us to contemplate not only the relationship between network and viewer but also between the citizens of the Capital region of Denmark - symbolised through a Venn diagram – the friendliest of all mathematical models.
The Venn circles remind us of all the things we have in common, while also making it crystal clear that opposites do coexist, clash, merge or create brand new entities. TV 2 Kosmopol vows to explore and shed light on these grey zones of Denmark’s only metropolis.
