Beskrivelse
For Tomás Saraceno’s permanent exhibition KOSMISKE TRÅDE at the Planetarium, we designed all exhibition materials for online and offline platforms, capturing the complexity of the renowned Argentine artist’s large-scale installation. Known for his groundbreaking work at the intersection of art, science, and architecture, Saraceno’s new piece transforms the gallery into a multi-sensory exploration of the cosmos.
Working closely with the artist, we developed a visual language inspired by the intricate network of threads that form the core of Saraceno’s installation. The design reflects the organic complexity of the piece, using poster compositions that resemble architectural installation drawings. These visuals tell the story of the interwoven threads, light, and floating forms that hold the planets in place — a striking metaphor for the interconnectedness of cosmic and earthly structures.
The graphic expression is intentionally minimal yet detailed, mimicking the web-like forms that catch the light in the installation. Posters and printed materials act as both communication tools and visual extensions of the artwork itself, embodying the intricate and ever-changing nature of the universe.
Spanning 25 meters in height and 42 meters in length, KOSMISKE TRÅDE invites visitors into a celestial experience—where threads of light and air form floating planets and galaxies. Saraceno’s work is a call to reflect on our role in the universe and our shared responsibility for the future of Earth. Our design mirrors this ethos, blending scientific precision with artistic expression to create a visual representation of cosmic complexity and human connection, inviting viewers to explore, reflect, and be inspired.
