A new grotesque to add to the ocean of styles all ready out there. Studio 6 seeks inspiration in both the more recent Swiss Neo-Grotesque tradition and American Grotesque typefaces from late 19th early 20th century. Initially created for the podcast radio studio of the same name. A typeface with attitude, character and contemporary flavour while still maintaining the timeless utilitarian feeling, that is typical of Swiss Neo-Grotesque typefaces.

This typeface was developed to be used in a long range of in-house variable experiments (showcased in the video), to see how we could push and utilize this relatively newly accessible technology in an experimental and interesting way. The impact variable typefaces will have on the way we work with, and use, typefaces is still to be seen, and we think that the most effective way of releasing and researching the potential in this format is by experimenting and trying to push the tech in real life projects.
