In 2021 Royal Copenhagen launched a new product series designed by the renowned design duo GamFratesi. The product series is inspired by the three waves of the Royal Copenhagen logo and features a range of sea animals living in three different sea levels. Each of these sea levels got their own version of the motion film, with elements connected to the habitat of the animals featured.



The product itself is created by collaging elements inspired by or taken directly from existing beloved Royal Copenhagen products - all combined into a new and modern expression. Inspired by this collaging technique, we created a series of motion design product launch films. Each film is composed of 2D and 3D layers combined into an adventurous yet unmistakably Royal Copenhagen univers.

To play on the collage-based fairytale-like universe of the products, we aimed to combine nostalgic heritage elements with the modern and quirky design of GamFratesi product series in each film — always with the product at the center.
