Royal Serif is a typeface that encaptures the rich history of Royal Copenhagen. It mirros the exceptional craft and the simple, delicate and timeless aesthetic that has come to define Royal Copenhagen. 

As Royal Copenhagen was established in 1775, we took a dive into the history of printed type belonging to this time period in search of inspiration. 

The transitional typefaces of the 18th century became the foundation for our concept, the end result being a typeface that is clearly rooted in tradition but has a contemporary and timeless expression. 

The family ranges from Thin to Bold, and is accompanied by a flavourful and distinct italic sibling. The typeface supports a wide range of open type features, providing Royal Copenhagen with a typeface that is unique, versatile and true to the spirit of the brand.
