Annual design concept for one of the most celebrated cultural events in Denmark, Roskilde Festival. The festival is the largest music and arts festival in Northern Europe.
After a succesful Festival in 2022 celebrating 50 years of Roskilde Festival, this year we put the festival in motion, reclaim orange and set the stage for the next 50 years of awe-inspiring performances and iconic moments.
At the core of the visual expression is the concept of being in motion – people, music, arts and creativity in general. We’ve created a sharp, distinctive yet simple look where all elements are in constant movement. It celebrates the aspirational feeling of taking part in the festival and helps Roskilde Festival communicate in a more vibrant way on all relevant digital platforms, the core of modern festival communication.
As a part of the visual concept was to create the design elements in a way so that they can be easily implemented and put into use by the strong force of volunteers, making the festival come alive every year. This speaks to a solid design system and intuitive templates.
