Frederiksbergmuseerne consist of Cisternerne, Bakkehuset, STORM and Møstings. Four museums and exhibition spaces all situated in the heart of Frederiksberg, surrounding the green areas of Frederiksberg Gardens. The four cultural scenes offers a wide range of art and culture experiences for visitors of all ages. From international contemporary art scapes at Cisternerne and site-specific modern artworks at Møstings, to historical memoirs of the Danish Golden Age at Bakkehuset, and a humorous world portraying the Danish satirical art-scene at STORM.
The aim of the rebrand was to emphasise and strengthen
the correlation between the four entities, all part of Frederiksbergmusserne. The brand identity was therefore developed based on a one brand structure, where the Frederiksbergmusserne logo, as the overarching entity, is divided in two, to make room for interaction with the individual logos of the four museums. The open space in the logo represents the different paths, that will take you from one experience to another, passing through the green gardens, finding your next Frederiksbergmuseum experience at the next crossroad.
The green colour palette is inspired by the green surroundings of the museums, as well as references the current spatial design of the exhibition spaces. Over and above an individual shade of green, each entity uses their own weight from the Italian Plate typeface family as logo- and display font. Highlighting the characteristics of the four individual and uniquely different cultural scenes, while still referring back to the same brand family.
