After 20 years BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) decided it was time to reinvent their iconic pixel website and create a new platform tailored to showcase their projects to a broad audience around the globe.

As with any other BIG project the website revolves around tight concepts. BIG LEAPs come in many forms, whether it’s landing on the moon, a pandemic vaccine or putting a skiing slope on top of a power plant. LEAPS are core to how BIG approaches architecture, and that’s also why you are invited to the LEAP navigation as you land on the BIG site. All projects are also filtered based on the LEAP categories (Landscape, Engineering, Architecture and Planning) on the vertical axis and you can choose to go deeper into each case story on the horizontal axis. The BIG pixel is a guiding element used throughout the site. It’s working as a simple element guiding the viewer, adding a recognizable design element while also giving a nod to the old pixel website and logo. The BIG logo is used as an entrance to the subpages.
