Variety is the spice of life – and maybe of the museum experience as well. Underlining the immense consequence of the nature and culture of any given venue on the art work presented, Glyptoteket and Copenhagen Contemporary have embarked on a three year collaboration offering visitors unique perspectives on the same artist in two different art venues: one artist, two different art venues.

Assigned with the task of creating a physical manifestation of the collaboration between these two vastly different strongholds in the Danish art world while also encouraging visitors to travel the distance between the two, we designed a portal – a “wormhole” – to teleport visitors from one place to the other. Mentally and artistically.

The entity blends the distinct architectural features of both Glyptoteket and Copenhagen Contemporary, doubling as a communicative element to showcase the collaboration. Additionally, we incorporated the distinctive brand colours, painting the structure in a striking half-and-half design, not only bridging the distance but the experience as well.
