This poster is damaged

Beskrivelse
This poster uses damage as both material and message. Its worn, stained surface is intentional. Not as an aesthetic gesture, but as a reflection of the state it points to. The statement This poster is damaged. So is the planet. collapses the distance between object and reality. The poster does not illustrate environmental degradation. It embodies it. What you see is not decoration, but consequence. The reference to 2035 is deliberate. It points to the timeframes repeatedly used in climate targets, roadmaps, and political commitments. A future year that represents promise, delay, and accountability all at once. Maybe you get a better looking poster in 2035 suggests that improvement is still possible, but not automatic. A better poster becomes a metaphor for a healthier planet, conditional on whether climate goals are actually met. Presented in connection with International Mother Earth Day on April 22, the poster does not offer solutions or reassurance. It marks a moment in time and quietly asks whether 2035 will arrive as a milestone, or as another missed deadline.
