Holm Marcher & Co.
Challenge: Transform an outdated and generic online presence into a future-forward, confident, uncompromising and compelling digital identity that helps attract the brightest creative, marketing and communications candidates locally and globally.
Insight: Holm Marcher & Co.’s in-depth industry knowledge and network allows them to place the right talent in the right position to build companies of the future.
Idea: Created new brand platform: “Knowing who happens next has been our job for years”, unfolded in the new identity and digital experience: http://holmmarcher.dk/en/
Navigation: Developed an intuitive, three dimensional and disruptive navigation that behaves organically.
Color treatment: A unique gradient map created a pronounced and striking identity that stands out in a sea of industry sameness. Instead of being shades of grey from black to white, the lightest parts of the image are crimson sky, and the darkest parts are dusty blue.
Interaction/animation: Subtle, magical animations make this clean site feel alive and playful, e.g., lazy loading content, amount read indicator, hover effects on buttons, etc.
Imagery: Captured the culture and spirit of Holm Marcher & Co., moving away from stock style corporate imagery to ‘Reservoir Dogs’ territory, showing the partners in the field and in different settings in Copenhagen. This created a stylized “realness” that makes Holm Marcher & Co. approachable and cutting edge.
Copy: Developed a clear, punchy and no-jargon tone of voice combined with design elements to form their new identity.
Tech: Built the site with Timber and Wordpress, but generated static HTML-files to optimize the loading speed. CSS3 animations were used where possible, with GreenSock JS used for remaining animations. A variety of libraries enhances the visual experience, history.js dynamically loads content without page loads, and FastClick creates better responsiveness on mobiles.
