On the Beat
To express their journey from traditional radio station to online culture site and content agency, Heartbeats needed a new brand identity. To convey this transformation, we created a new visual identity and a digital design concept that could secure a strong and recognizable identity across all platforms, as well as encompassing the physical products and online platforms such as iTunes, Website and Social Media.
As Heartbeats is deeply connected to its roots within the music industry, we worked on integrating their love of music and beats into their identity. The result of this was a dynamic and bold identity that had a 5th element that could be used as an integrated part of the visual expression across all platforms. In addition to this the logo was created as a strong and recognizable mark, allowing it to stand alone or support the rest of the identity. As we were working with bold graphic elements, we created a simple yet daring color palette to contrast and compliment the look across digital platforms. All combined with a simple and abstract image style that could balance the identity and allow it to play and come to life.
